The partners of Nock Deighton Agricultural LLP are delighted to be able to announce that Carmarthen Mart will re-open on Wednesday 2nd March 2022 following a significant refurbishment by Carmarthenshire Council. The opening sale day will include a sale of calves and weanlings and dairy cattle followed by a sale on Friday the 4th of March of barren cattle, store cattle and sheep of all classes. These sales will be repeated weekly and will be augmented by sales of suckled calves and breeding bulls on the first Monday of every month and an Orange TB restricted sale on the second Monday of every month.
Additional staff had already been employed in anticipation of lease completion and the partners are moving forward with employing and training staff from the surrounding agricultural community and with the prospect of further job creation as business grows, the partners are looking forward to developing a lively and thriving mart in the fantastic facilities at Carmarthen Mart.
Nock Deighton have full control of the site to include all the rental units at the Nantyci site, including the Rural Business Development Centre and have received a significant level of interest from a diverse range of local businesses with a rural focus aiming to take advantage of the opportunity with a significant footfall at the site anticipated. We are pleased to be able to offer these units to businesses mainly offering ancillary services to the agricultural industry and together with the excellent café facilities within the mart aim to make it the Rural Hub it was intended to be.
